Emotional reactions to the textures, colors and objects of life are the impetus for my creative process.  A photograph will attempt to recreate a feeling or memory, but with a photograph we are one step removed from a visceral experience.  My goal is to create concrete spaces and tactile objects that are evocative of lives and places, real or imagined.

These spaces are the sum of my collected and adapted memories. History, age and personal experience will create a tangible image in our consciousness.  As a filmmaker, I learned how to draw upon these images and control the perception of what we see.  In that same regard I now try to capture narratives of texture, color and time in a tangible way and unleash these collective memories.

The pieces presented here are trigger mechanisms, time capsules of imagined lives, which I hope evoke emotions and reactions beyond the pieces themselves.
